Hi, I’m Carrie! I can’t wait to help you raise happy and healthy chickens.
Since I could walk I've loved to be outside and as a toddler my Mum and Dad bought me my first chicken and I've never looked back. Over the years I've grown my collection of birds and there isn't much I don't know about raising and looking after chickens. However, chicken keeping is not always plain sailing and when my sister said to me you should be sharing your expertise with others, I was somewhat hesitant but she persuaded me over many months and I'm excited that I've now launched Clever Chicken Courses in partnership with my business the Clever Coop Company. A healthy chicken is a happy chicken and that's what matters.
My Approach
Keep it Simple
My approach is to keep everything simple so that you can get the most out of your chickens and that they bring joy to you and your family and hopefully a few eggs!
I knew there had to be a better way ...
Having owned chickens for all my life I know that maintaining a healthy and clean environment for the hens can be a challenge.
I had always owned a wooden coop. Super difficult to clean and susceptible to frequent outbreaks of red mite, the number one health issue for chickens.
Then one day I found the solution and fast forward a few months, I founded the Clever Coop Company. My coops are made of plastic, look great and are much larger than any other model on the market.
I've now sold thousands of coops around the world and there are many happy Clever Coopers who love such low maintenance easy to clean coops, not forgetting the happy chickens! I even then created an automatic door opener for those mornings where you just want an extra few minutes in bed!
